Cravings – Shangrila Mall

Filed under: Malls — gourmandtales @ 12:48 pm

They have multiple branches in different malls around the metro. Known for their Bottomless SAlad bar and soup bar for 225 bucks. For me its one of the best deal in town and if u order one Entree, u can have the all u can eat soup and salad for less than a hundred pesos.. who can beat that… I ordered myself a club sandwich for 195 pesos-sp_a2396sp_a2397layers of freshly baked wheat bread filled with slices of smoked ham, bacon, BBQ flavored chicken, corned beef omelet, cheddar, cheese and fresh lettuce, then ordered the soup and salad bar,

i started getting from the soup and salad bar, not knowing they also have breads and dips.sp_a2393.an arugula pesto, Boursin cheese and pomodoro sauce…

Soup, two choices that day, cream of mushroom and sotanghon soup, the sotanghon soup was teeming with ingredients, chicken, veggies, mushroom sotanghon(sorry no pic)sp_a2394sp_a2395. THe Salad bar has a lot, one thing lacking though was bacon which they are trying to make up with ham slices, but still nothing compares to bacon.. agree?:)

Well, to but the story short, i wasnt able to eat y sandwich coz i was too full with the salad and soup bar, stayed there for more than 3 hours studying… not bad.. lunch for less than a hundred pesos…

Guangdong Barbecue Restaurant – Tsim Tsa Tsui

Best Roast pork Asado in Hongkong- Guang Dong Barbeque Restaurant- Tsim Sha Tsui

The first time I tasted this few years back .. it was honey roast pork love….Never have I tasted asado so juicy, with the right balance of saltiness and sweetness, the perfect intermingling of fat and meat…

So everytime I go to HK, I never miss a meal here and I always recommend this place to people who are going to HK.sp_a1603sp_a1604sp_a1607

They also have other items like the roast suckling pig… which is also good but the honey roast pork is the real winner. Order a dish with rice.. comes with greens as well, don’t forget the sauces that comes with it..sp_a1605sp_a16061

Yung kee doesn’t stand a chance against this place..

To those who love pork, don’t miss this dish.. I usually buy a couple of pieces of uncut pork asado then wrapped it in plastic wrap so that the odor wont bug other people…and bring it to the Philippines…
