pre=”">Fook Yuen- one of my favorite banawe restaurant. And arguably, one of the best places to eat crab in metro manila. Not counting the ambience though.
Oyster balls-
clumps of oyster meat, dip in a light batter then fried/ The oysters were plump and sweet with no traces of “fishy odor”.
class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”">Fook yuen crab with sotanghon- this dish may not look appetizing, but trust me, this is one of the best crab dishes in town.

The sauce is creamy and savory and is perfect for the crab. Eat it with the sotanghon is not enough.. you have to order rice here. And have the rice soak up the sauce while you pick the meat from the crab. The meat is cooked perfectly . sweet and so heavenly, I could eat this everyday,
This is what i love ordering because you get real prawns.. well, depends on what you but. hehe.
it was a good hing that they slice the prawn on the body to make it easier to eat with utensils. THe seasoning was indeed perfect, best eaten when hot cause it can get clumpy when it is cold
imagine tasting the essence of crab in every rice morsel. Fantastic idea, excellent blend of seasoning and spices
another excellent dish, thoug as an after thought i think it was a mistake ordering this coz the rice was already flavored by the crab. Nevertheless it was fantastic, Crab was cooked perfectly. I would order the salt and pepper crab as i see it quickly devoured on the other tables.
Chicken wings coated with sour cream rub served with bleu cheese dressing. This was a surprise, i never thought that the sour cream tub would suit fried chicken wings. It was very tasty and good. A alternative to the usual buffalo wings we order in a restaurant
this was kind of a let down for 2 reasons. It was quite a small portion and it was a bit fatty. But i love lamb. and i just have to try this dish.
3 small crabs smotheres with creole spices and garlic. THe crab as ususal was cooked perfectly, the seaoning penetrating the crab meat( well it was cracked before cooking:)) Finger lickin good.
